The difference and application analysis of aluminized sheet, galvanized sheet and galvanized sheet

Aluminized sheet: Aluminized steel sheet is a steel sheet coated with an aluminum-silicon alloy, in which the content of aluminum is 90% and that of silicon is 10%.

Galvanized sheet: The surface coating of galvanized sheet is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc and a small amount of other elements.

Galvanized sheet: Galvanized sheet refers to a steel plate with a layer of zinc plated on the surface.

The difference between galvanized sheet and galvanized sheet:

The galvanized steel sheet with 55% Al-Zn alloy coating has superior corrosion resistance compared with the galvanized steel sheet of the same thickness when both sides are exposed to the same environment. The galvanized steel sheet with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating not only has good corrosion resistance, but also the color-coated products have excellent adhesion and flexibility.

The difference between galvanized sheet and galvanized sheet mainly lies in the difference of coating. The surface of galvanized sheet is evenly distributed with a layer of zinc material, which plays an anodic protection role for the base metal, that is to say, the alternative corrosion protection of zinc material. Due to the use of the base metal, only when the zinc is completely corroded can the base metal inside be damaged.

The surface coating of the galvanized sheet is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc and a small amount of other elements. The surface of the galvanized coating is a honeycomb structure at the microscopic level. The "honeycomb" composed of aluminum contains zinc. In this case, although the aluminum-zinc coating also plays the role of anodic protection, on the one hand, due to the reduction of zinc content, on the other hand, because the zinc material is not easily electrolyzed by aluminum, the role of anodic protection is greatly reduced. The zinc plate is cut, and it will rust quickly when the cut edge is basically lost and protected, so the galvanized plate should be cut as little as possible. The service life of the board is extended.

The full name of aluminized steel sheet is "hot-dip aluminized steel sheet", which is similar to hot-dip galvanized steel sheet in terms of manufacturing process. But its heat resistance is better than that of galvanized steel. Aluminized sheet has the following 5 characteristics:

1. High temperature resistance: Due to the specific combination of the steel plate substrate and the coating structure, an iron-aluminum alloy is formed, which makes the aluminized sheet have excellent high temperature resistance. At 450°C, extremely high reflectivity is guaranteed. When the temperature is higher than 480°C, the appearance of the coating is gray. At up to 650°C, the protective layer to prevent oxidation of the steel sheet is still well preserved without any shedding.

2. Heat reflectivity: At a high temperature of 480 degrees Celsius, the aluminized sheet can reflect 80% of the incoming heat. Therefore, the aluminized sheet can be made into an efficient thermal barrier or a heat reflector in high temperature applications, which can rapidly increase the temperature in the furnace through effective heat reflection.

3. Mechanical strength: At room temperature, the mechanical strength of the aluminized sheet is consistent with the mechanical strength of its substrate. At the same high temperature of 480°C, the strength of the aluminized steel sheet is 10 times that of the aluminum sheet, so the thickness of the steel sheet can be reduced by at least 30%.

4. Corrosion resistance: During the hot-dip plating process, molten aluminum reacts with oxygen in the air immediately to form a protective layer of Al2O3, which immediately passivates the surface of the steel plate. This protective layer is very stable and insoluble in water. Even if the surface of the steel plate is scratched later, this protective layer has a self-healing function. Therefore, the aluminized sheet has strong corrosion resistance to chemical corrosion.

5. Ecological characteristics: Aluminized sheets without chemical passivation have no effect on health, so they can be used in food processing. Test reports of many professional groups have confirmed that it is an environmentally friendly product that is harmless to the human body. Aluminized sheets are completely recyclable. Aluminized sheet can be comparable to stainless steel but the price is only about one third of stainless steel,

Aluminized sheets are generally used in:

1. Automobile, motorcycle muffler, exhaust pipe, fuel tank.

2. Combustion furnace, heat exchanger, dryer, air conditioner, etc.

3. Household water heaters, gas stoves, bread boxes, chimneys, microwave ovens, food processing machinery, electric ovens, cooking utensils.

It can also be used for building covers, walls, ceilings and other thermal insulation components.

Galvanized sheet is generally used in:

Construction industry: light steel keel, corrugated board, ventilation duct, floor load-bearing board, movable room, factory roof and body, municipal engineering enclosure.

Used as a substrate for downstream products

Home appliance industry: shells and bottom plates of home appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, water heaters, and computer cases.

Automotive industry: body, outer panel, inner panel, bottom panel, door, etc.

Other industries: storage and transportation, packaging, granaries, chimneys, buckets, ship bulkheads, etc.

Galvanized sheet is generally used in:

Construction: Roofs, Walls, Garages, Acoustic Walls, Plumbing and Modular Houses, etc.

Automotive: mufflers, exhaust pipes, wiper attachments, fuel tanks, truck boxes, etc.

Home appliances: refrigerator backplane, gas stove, air conditioner, electronic microwave oven, LCD frame, CRT explosion-proof belt, LED backlight, electrical cabinet, etc. Agricultural use: pig house, chicken house, granary, greenhouse pipes, etc.

Others: Thermal insulation cover, heat exchanger, dryer, water heater, etc.
